DESCRIPTION:THE NATIONAL PITCHING ASSOCIATION Is Teaming With WINDSOR CAL RIPKEN YOUTH BASEBALL GROUP to offer this special six-week group pitching and throwing practice session\, ages 8 – 18 \nWhen: Every Sunday\, 4:15-5:15\, Begins April 15 \nLocation: Keiser Park\, Field B\, 700 Windsor River Rd\, Windsor\, CA 95492 \nCost: $20/session X 6 sessions + $3.60 processing fee = $123.60 \nWHY: Pitching/Throwing is a complex process and requires repetition of the right movements\, in the right sequence and with the right timing to be repeatable and effective. Coaches at practice rarely have the time to provide adequate training. Proper mechanics are also key to avoiding arm injuries. Science has proven many of the conventional “teaches” for throwing as incorrect. \nWHAT: We will utilize the same drills taught at the professional level. The session will focus on performance\, NOT CONDITIONING. The NPA has identified 9 critical movements to effective pitching/throwing and the drills will train the athlete to execute these correctly. Athletes will then bring it all together in bullpen type sessions into nets. \nCOACHES: Greg Wilcox\, Area Director and Justin Herrguth\, Associate Director\, both Level 5 Master Certified by Dr. Tom House\, along with other NPA staff will lead the sessions.
